Gerardo Gancz is a veteran Spanish teacher and educational technology specialist with over 20 years of classroom experience. Currently serving at Allegiance STEAM Academy in California, he combines his passion for language instruction with cutting-edge innovations in AI and workflow automation. Gerardo has led the development of systems that streamline a wide range of school operations—including behavior tracking, dismissal logistics, independent study processes, and multilingual learner support—using tools such as Zapier, Google Workspace, Thunkable, MagicSchool, and DocuSign.
Through his work, Gerardo empowers educators and school leaders to save time, reduce burnout, and create more personalized, responsive learning environments. His approach focuses on accessibility and scalability, ensuring that teachers of all technical skill levels can adopt the tools he builds. Gerardo also creates student-centered technology projects, like app design and AI-driven language bots, to increase engagement and language acquisition.
As a presenter at educational conferences and PD workshops, he shares actionable strategies for transforming everyday school systems through automation and AI. His current mission is to help schools modernize their workflows while improving equity, especially for English Learners and underrepresented student populations. Gerardo is also exploring the creation of a district-wide role focused on innovation, automation, and AI integration.
