Gene LaCava brings over 45 years of experience in Information Technology, Business, and Education. His diverse career spans roles as Chief Information Officer (CIO) for 10 years, IT Director, and Chief Operating Officer (COO), with hands-on leadership in every aspect of IT—from infrastructure and systems management to cybersecurity, data strategy, and innovation. With his time as a high school Computer Science teacher, Gene understands the challenges and opportunities of technology in education. His classroom experience informs his strategic approach, making him a strong advocate for practical, effective technology integration in K–12 schools. Gene holds an MBA from Anna Maria College in Paxton, Massachusetts. Throughout his career, he has remained deeply hands-on and current with emerging technologies, helping schools and organizations adapt to change while ensuring sustainable, user-focused solutions. His sessions are known for connecting vision with action, offering valuable insights to both educators and administrators.
