Elizabeth Ridgeway, M.S. Ed., is an innovative educational technology leader, the driving force behind "Disco Techie"—a philosophy where every teacher is empowered to shine through technology. As a dedicated problem-solver, she specializes in crafting tech solutions that elevate educators and stakeholders alike. Since 2020, as the District Instructional Technology Resource Teacher in Highlands County, FL, Liz has been instrumental in delivering engaging learning experiences and spearheading district-wide technology initiatives. Her diverse background includes elementary and middle school instruction, STEM coaching, and directing a STEM-focused 21st Century After School Program. This experience provides a deep understanding of the educational landscape and its unique challenges. Holding multiple Google Edu Certifications, she remains committed to continuous learning and the advancement of educational technology. Recognized for her contributions, Liz was named ClassLink’s Innovative Educator of the Year (2024) and the District’s Teacher of the Year (2022). Her success in securing nearly $125,000 in grants in just the last few years, and her nomination for the FCTIL Make IT Happen Award (2025) underscore her dedication.
