Mrs. Trout is the Academy Specialist at HEART Academy at Julian Newman Elementary in Athens, AL. She taught for 4 years in kindergarten and one year in second grade. Last year, she was the Academy Specialist and ran the lab. Mrs. Trout was awarded the Outstanding Educator of the Year award from Athens State University in 2015. She has also presented at FETC in 2017, 2018, 2019,2020, 2022,2023 and 2024. She presented at NSTA in 2023 and is a reviewer. Mrs. Trout was accepted into the Alabama Teacher Program at the US Space and Rocket Center in 2016. She is a Seesaw Certified Educator, Nearpod Certified Educator, Osmo Ambassador and Level 1 Google Certified. Mrs. Trout graduated with a B.S. in elementary education from Athens State University and a Master's in elementary education from the University of West Alabama.
