Danielle Alcaraz is a seasoned EdTech leader and passionate advocate for personalized learning, accessibility, and outcomes-based contracts in K–12 education. As Senior Vice President of Sales at Cignition, she partners with district and school leaders nationwide to implement high-impact virtual tutoring programs that accelerate academic growth—especially for students who need it most.
She spearheaded Cignition’s launch of tutoring programs tailored for students with disabilities and English learners, ensuring that Tier 3 intensive instruction is inclusive, accessible, and aligned with IEPs, MTSS, and language development goals. Her work centers on creating scalable, research-driven programs that support instructional alignment, sustainable staffing, and measurable outcomes.
Since joining Cignition in 2022, Danielle has contributed to the company''s scale and impact through partnerships at both the statewide and district levels. With more than 20 years of experience in EdTech, including leadership roles at Amplify, Discovery Education, and Scantron, she brings deep expertise in the intersection of technology, instruction, and district implementation.
Danielle serves as a board member for an educational foundation and as the regional director for a national women-in-leadership network that focuses on advancing best practices in education and technology. She holds an M.B.A. in entrepreneurship and marketing and is a certified Miller Heiman leader.
Her professional strengths include building high-performing teams, leading successful implementations, and forging trusted partnerships that improve student outcomes. At her core, Danielle leads with heart—always focused on the child behind every data point and the community behind every district initiative.
Outside of work, Danielle lives just outside of Los Angeles with her high school sweetheart-turned-husband, their two sons (a university freshman and a high school sophomore), and their delightfully chaotic animal crew: Sammy, a golden retriever, and a 150-pound African sulcata tortoise who roams the backyard—he owns the place.
She’s an avid skier, outdoor enthusiast, and passionate cook (frequently asked to cater—but still holding out for that Food Network show). Her family is already counting down to the LA Olympics and cheering for every opportunity to make meaningful memories together.
Danielle’s mission is simple: to better the world—one student, one district, and one partnership at a time.
