I am an EdTech Coach for Washington County Public Schools. I coach K-12 teachers on the use of digital tools, integration and computational thinking. I also lead a variety of computer science and computational thinking initiatives within our county.
I hold a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus in Educational Technology from Frostburg State University as well as an Administration and Supervision Certification I and II from Hood College. I have 21 years of teaching experience: three years teaching Technology Education in middle school, ten years teaching 4th and 5th grades while infusing technology with my daily instruction, and 5 years teaching Computer Science and STEM as a special Encore class which I began developing in the fall of 2014. In 2021, I began my journey as an EdTech Coach for secondary as well as a lead in our district for computer science work in grades K-8 working with all staff and students in our district which is where I am currently.
