VR+AI: How the Alabama State Department of Education is Transforming Math Learning and Engagement

January 16, 2025
EXPO HALL LEADERSHIP ROUND TABLES: BOOTH 3386
School Leaders
Join us for an interactive session on the transformative potential of Virtual Reality (VR) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education. We will explore how engaging VR tools combined with A.I.-powered “Study Buddies” can provide incredible learning experiences for middle school and high school students. Our focus will be an Education, Innovation, and Research (EIR) grant from USDOE to ALSDE which is providing hardware, software, and professional development to teachers across Alabama in order to study the efficacy of VR in mathematics. We’ll be discussing what we have learned about small scale and large scale implementation of VR, hardware, VR+AI software, professional development, various challenges and solutions, and much more!
