Using Curiosity to Humanize Education and Improve Achievement in the Age of AI
January 17, 2025
EXPO HALL POSTERS AREA: BOOTH 2395
District Leaders
At a time when Artificial Intelligence can provide instant answers, it’s more important than ever for students to understand how to ask good questions. Curiosity is the key pedagogical linchpin that humanizes education by driving engagement, motivation, and persistence. But even though we want students to be curious, too many of them believe school is just a place where they’re given answers to questions they’ve never asked. Attendees will learn what brain research tells us about the relationship between curiosity and learning as well as practical ways to measure curiosity and help students self-assess their own curiosity. Attendees will also learn frameworks, tools, and ideas for leveraging technology to spark curiosity in ways that ensure education remains relevant, authentic, and personal in any subject and at any grade level.
