Trust In Your Ecosystem: Confidence in Security, Privacy, AI and Accessibility

January 16, 2025
EXPO HALL POSTERS AREA: BOOTH 2395
District Leaders
Finding the right educational technology tools for your classrooms, schools, and districts can be overwhelming as new options arise and the technology continues to evolve. Fortunately, there are tools to help sort through the options and find technology that protects student privacy, takes the necessary precautions to keep information secure, and considers the needs of all students. In this session, we’ll consider three new rubrics on Generative AI Data Privacy, Security and Accessibility, developed by a collaboration of educators and edtech suppliers, that can be used in selecting edtech tools. The Generative AI Data Privacy rubric addresses disclosure policies and transparency and encourages the examination of data; the Security Practices rubric promotes transparency to support an understanding of the various components of security practices and policies; and the Accessibility rubric provides a common framework for discussions and evaluating tools about accessibility with tool providers and suppliers.
