Mindfulness in the Media Center: Settle Your Glitter

January 14, 2025
SOUTH 330A
Library Leaders
Use strategies and digital media to reduce anxiety and stress. Enhance your library program with Microsoft Reflect, Insight Timer, and other free resources, which can help you assess the anxiety level in your class and provide short activities that can give your students a calmer feeling with the push of a button. Explore digital resources(some free) and face-to-face ways for your students to relax and be ready to learn. Data shows our students need help reducing their anxiety and stress; you will discover activities for reading, writing, and creating that bring calm to your learners through actionable insights for transformational-centered connections. Experience hands-on learning of techniques for breathing and guided imagery practices that promote wellness from The Center for Mind-Body Medicine. Use them when you return to school, and you will feel better, too.
