SOUTH 230D
School Leaders
This module is designed to empower school leadership teams to understand and navigate the complex factors influencing a school's capacity for meaningful, sustainable change. Participants will delve into the distinctions between technical and adaptive change, emphasizing the necessity for deep cultural shifts over superficial adjustments. Through a blend of theoretical insights and practical applications, attendees will work on crafting a vision for adaptive change that is embedded in their school’s culture. Key activities include identifying necessary resources, building strong relationships, and developing a comprehensive, long-term implementation plan. The module emphasizes the importance of sustained support, ongoing professional development, and strategic use of data to refine visions and monitor progress. School leaders will learn to manage resistance, maintain momentum, and ultimately anchor the changes within the school culture. By the end of the training, teams will be equipped with the tools and frameworks needed to lead effective, lasting improvements in student achievement.
