Inspire Innovation: Empower Student Voice and Choice through Technology

January 17, 2025
EXPO HALL POSTERS AREA: BOOTH 2395
Classroom Leaders
Join us for an inspiring session that will empower you and encourage student voice and choice. This session will outline a collaborative design thinking project that encourages students to communicate their unique viewpoints through a variety of technologies, culminating in the creation of a visual representation of a conceptual idea. We will explain how students synthesized information from multiple disciplines, exploring art, music, and historical and current events focused on the concept of freedom prior to innovating and iterating their designs. We will provide a framework for encouraging student voice and choice in the technology tools they chose to explore to create visual representations of freedom. We will provide resources for the hardware and software students utilized throughout the project. Examples of hardware include: Cricut Maker3 and Autopress, Glowforge Laser Printer, Lulzbot 3D Printer. Examples of software include: Cricut Design Space, Canva, Tinkercad, Adobe Firefly.
