In this session, we explore how AI can be effectively used as a learning tool while emphasizing the importance of digital citizenship. Students will discover how AI-powered educational technologies can personalize learning experiences, enhance engagement, and support diverse learning needs. We will showcase practical examples of AI applications, such as intelligent tutoring systems, adaptive learning platforms, and AI-driven feedback tools, illustrating how these innovations can make learning more efficient and enjoyable. We will discuss the principles of digital citizenship, ensuring that students understand how to use AI responsibly, respect privacy, and engage ethically in digital environments. By empowering students, we can foster greater ownership in learning and move forward collectively. The presenter brings the perspective of a classroom teacher who is currently facing the challenges of how AI is affecting education. Tools that will be shared include Learn with Mundo, Canva, MagicSchool and Curipod. These tools are designed with student safety in mind.
