School Leaders
Learn how to evaluate cybersecurity practice effectiveness, based on the National Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST), Cybersecurity Framework (https://www.nist.gov/cyberframework). Access readily available (free) training, conduct self-assessments, develop continuous improvement plans, use the new education cybersecurity rubric, and find out how to obtain the cybersecurity rubric evaluator certification. Realize how to use the assessment results to develop a strategy for improvement. This learning lab is not about theory—it's about practical application in daily operations. Also, seize the opportunity to access the cybersecurity evaluator certification program and obtain a free promotion code. Participants will actively participate in a self-assessment using the national cybersecurity standards and rubric designed for education. The rubric is available in three formats (PDF, Excel, and Google). These rubrics will be available in a working folder here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/154g0bdAyOAMlVRe7tmFexylkegLfA5LZ?usp=drive_link. Attendees may also download the rubric for free here: www.cybersecurityrubric.org. Attendees will use their cyber-investigation skills by examining each cybersecurity domain in the rubric and assigning a maturity level rating by evaluating supporting evidence using the new framework and rubric. Like measuring academic performance using an education grading system from A to F, this systematic method of measuring progress is a surefire way to help school systems improve!
