Get ready to re-think PE, team sports and afterschool clubs! Join us for the latest update from an innovative pilot project involving over 3,000 students from multiple schools and community locations throughout Palm Beach County, FL. Typical team sports foster fitness and physical engagement but can lead to exclusion based on age, size, skill, and gender, and even injury. Conversely, while esports and computer gaming levels the playing field, more screen time may continue to contribute to issues around isolation, inactivity, and social disconnection. HADO, bridges the gap between sports and gaming. Combining the healthy benefits of physical sport and the appeal of esports and gaming, HADO is a hit among students, educators, and parents. It's physically engaging, employs immersive AR technology, and fosters community. Harnessing 5G, HADO can now enable remote physical game play in real time. Hear all the details about an incredible test exhibition match series hosted by The Greene School in Palm Beach County, where students in Coventry, England played against local Florida students from all grade levels (including special needs). Whether you're new to gaming and immersive technology or a seasoned pro, this session offers valuable and exciting insights for the future.
