In this session, we will address the urgent need for healing in education, particularly in the wake of challenges that have deeply affected educators' well-being. This session explores the current state of educators and education, the impact of emotional engagement and disengagement on workplace dynamics, and the protective mechanisms employed to navigate psychological stress. Through examining how these factors manifest in educational settings, we aim to define and contextualize "healing"within the realm of education. Finally, we will discuss how innovative thought is impacted by educator mental health and the need for healing.
