The only way to prepare students for the future is to bring the future to them. At Leon County Schools, located in Tallahassee, Florida, they have done just that. In this session, Michele Prescott, Director of Academic Services and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), will provide insight on why extended reality (XR) is crucial and how it is being used in classrooms across the county. As a former principal of an elementary school, she observed firsthand the challenges of capturing students' attention in an era dominated by immersive video games and short TikTok videos. However, Michele found that XR tools, such as Inspires, were remarkably effective in engaging students and enhancing academic achievement. She will share evidence of student data to show the outcomes of integrating this kind of technology in the classroom to highlight the potential impact it may have on yours. Michele remains a staunch advocate for XR learning, actively seeking opportunities within her county, and invites you to discover why and how you can also harness the power of XR technology.
