Cybersecurity defense is a top priority. Existing cybersecurity standards are complex, costly, and not designed for Education. Recognizing this challenge, a team of innovative education organizations and K-12 leaders formed the Cybersecurity Coalition for Education. They developed a cybersecurity rubric to measure effectiveness, free training resources about applying it, and a certified cybersecurity rubric evaluator (CCRE) program. With 350+ CCREs, the coalition is gaining momentum and national-level attention from the Department of Education. Join us in a session discussion to learn about significant updates to this groundbreaking initiative, which supports schools in becoming cyber-secure. Designed by the Cybersecurity Coalition for Education (www.cybersecurityrubric.org), the Cybersecurity Rubric (CR) for education is an easy-to-use tool informed by national standards and other relevant cybersecurity and privacy frameworks. Find out how to join the Cybersecurity Coalition for Education Learn how to use the Cybersecurity Rubric for Education to conduct a self-assessment Access the Certified Cybersecurity Rubric Evaluator (CCRE) program to start obtaining your certification Develop a cybersecurity evaluation report and strategic improvement plan based on evaluation findings.
