Yes, you have lots of data. But what data is truly important? What data will influence the academic performance of your students? This interactive session will describe relevant data and its effects on academic growth. In today’s rapidly changing environment educators realize that effective data analysis can transform a school’s practices and be the driving force behind improvements in instruction and ultimately academic achievement. So how do you utilize the relevant data to restructure your site’s instructional approach. Do you know if students are truly learning? Quick question: What is the one thing most students in secondary basic math cannot do? How do you link connectedness and continuation cross the grade levels? How do you integrate technology, promote inclusion, address retention and dropouts, and know if your graduates are really succeeding? This interaction session will provide a two-day process that your staff can implement at the beginning of the school year to increase academic achievement. When you leave this session, you will have an understanding on what data truly drives personalized approaches to learning and alternative instructional options. So, push the boundaries of your thinking about what matters most in learning.
