Byte-Sized Engagement: Engaging Students Starts With Engaging Teachers

January 17, 2025
NORTH 210D
School Leaders
“This is so boring, why do we need to know this?” - It’s a common cliche uttered by students in the classroom and even teachers at professional development workshops. But what if it wasn’t? What if students could make the connection to their learning and it was done in an exciting and meaningful way? In order to inspire and engage your students, you first need to inspire your teachers! Overnight generative AI tools have made traditional learning and assessment extinct. Teachers left clinging to the last vestiges of multiple choice quizzes and essay writing for assessment are forced to adapt or become a prey to A.I. fueled educational darwinism. TikTok, Social Media and video games have forced teachers to compete for attention and engagement in the classroom. What if you could engage both teachers and students with thought-provoking PBL, creative exciting and meaningful professional development at the same time? What if content was learned in shorter bite size portions like our media. The lines of education and entertainment are blurring - Engagement is the answer!
