From Vision to Action: Utah’s AI for K-12 Program

January 12, 2026

District Leaders
Discover how Utah is leading the way in responsible and equitable AI integration across K–12 education. This session highlights the collaborative work of educators, state leaders, and district stakeholders in developing and launching Utah’s AI for K–12 Grant Program. The grant training prioritized direct training for educators on AI — particularly in underserved and rural areas that are often underrepresented to support meaningful AI inclusion. With over 2,000 educators who participated in the program it has helped to establish a baseline for what AI integration can look like across content areas. You’ll explore how the program was built—from foundational standards to teacher professional development and classroom-ready tools. Learn from real examples of AI in use across subjects and grade levels, and how the state’s strategy centers on access, ethics, and student empowerment. Whether you’re starting your AI journey or scaling efforts, this session offers a practical roadmap rooted in policy, pedagogy, and partnerships.
