Artificial intelligence (AI) is rapidly transforming society, and K-12 education is no exception. School districts face the critical challenge of preparing both students and teachers for this new reality. This panel session brings together board members from the Florida Council of Instructional Technology Leaders (FCITL) to discuss how their districts are tackling the issue of AI literacy. Panelists will share practical strategies, insights, and lessons learned in the following areas: Safe and Appropriate Use: How are districts establishing guidelines and policies for the responsible use of AI tools by students and educators?
