District Leaders
How do you make AI a part of every student’s education across an entire state? In 2022, Alabama became one of the first in the nation to offer AI and data literacy curriculum at scale. Since then, more than 175 high schools across 85 districts offer a Practical AI certificate, free to every student and teacher. More than 10,000 students have participated in the program across the state. In this session, educators, state leaders, and technology partners will share how Alabama went from pilot programs to statewide adoption, integrating AI and data literacy into everyday instruction. Hear how they aligned coursework with real-world career pathways, trained over 1,400 teachers, and made room for AI fundamentals without upending the school day.
