January 13, 2026
EXPO: LEADERSHIP ROUND TABLES: BOOTH #1645
Esports Leaders
Discover how video game creation can be a powerful vehicle for standards-aligned learning. In this interactive session, participants will explore how the Creative Learning Process—Inspire, Imagine, Create, Iterate, Empower—serves as a framework for designing and assessing game-based projects that meet academic outcomes. Attendees will examine real student-created games developed in platforms like Minecraft Education and Fortnite Creative that align with ELA, Math, and CTE standards. This session showcases how game design supports critical thinking, storytelling, and problem-solving while meeting the demands of curriculum pacing and assessment. Learn how Esports Creative League (ECL) empowers educators to transform players into creators through creative computing tournaments and classroom challenges. Participants will leave with sample rubrics, planning templates, and integration strategies for their own classrooms.
