High-Impact Tutoring (HIT) supports academic growth through small-group, personalized instruction and is designed to align with state-level instructional requirements. Danielle Alcaraz shares proven strategies built around a vetted tutoring model that meets academic standards. The program features student-tutor ratios of up to 4:1, flexible scheduling, and robust data tracking. Results from the 2023–2024 school year show students reporting improved understanding, with many achieving significant gains in test scores. For the 2024–2025 school year, OCA has enrolled 400 K–5 students in reading/language arts tutoring and 150 in grades 3–6 math tutoring. Parent feedback consistently highlights the tutors’ effectiveness, patience, and engagement. Attendees will explore practical HIT planning strategies, including creative scheduling, staff collaboration, and student engagement through incentives. The session highlights OCA’s successful implementation over the past two school years and offers actionable tools and insights to help districts replicate that success without overburdening school staff.
