TABLE1: Podcasting for Teacher Professional Development and Training

January 13, 2026
W415 VALENCIA B&C
Coach Leaders
To begin this presentation, we will play a short podcast we recorded specifically for FETC. We will ask participants to post ideas to a shared Padlet about how they could use this clip for inspiration and professional development (PD). Then, we will explain the research-based ways podcasting can be used for professional development: 1) listening to podcasts and 2) producing podcasts. To demonstrate the first use, we will provide a “podcasting tasting” resource for participants to sample educational podcasts. Next, we will project the Padlet from the introduction to review their ideas for using podcasts for PD. For the second use, we will demonstrate how to produce podcasts for PD using several free tools. Finally, the presentation will conclude with ideas for publishing professional development podcasts. Participants will leave this session with a toolkit of educational PD podcasts, and they will have the skills to produce their own PD podcasts.
