The content knowledge of science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM) combined with the hands-on application of Maker Education is a perfect storm for student engagement (and fun)! This active session will engage participants in a variety of activities that incorporate design thinking and engineering using both high tech and no tech tools. With a focus on equitable experiences, inclusive practices, and diversity, STEAM Maker learning honors the strengths of ALL learners. The session will highlight lessons and projects from across the globe and will get participants thinking about new ways to implement STEAM in their classroom. Participants will leave today with tools and resources to engage their students tomorrow!
