Join Hicksville Public Schools as we demonstrate how our approach to AI balances innovation with ethics, rooted in our Core Beliefs and Values. This interactive session focuses on maintaining human-centered learning while using real-time insights from our Microsoft Power BI dashboards to support diverse learners. Discover how educators can use these insights - combined with the Brisk Teaching AI Toolbox - to create instructional resources and differentiated support specifically designed to meet the needs of English Language Learners and students with special needs. During this session, we’ll dig into some common challenges that districts face when implementing new AI tools and share how we’re using PD, digital citizenship curriculum, and transparent policy-making to overcome these hurdles. we’ve found to be effective ways of addressing these challenges.. We’ll also explore strategies for helping students critically evaluate AI outputs, preserving creativity, empathy, and deep thinking in an AI-augmented classroom.
