Anxiety is one of the most common mental health challenges facing students today, and it often shows up in classrooms as disengagement, perfectionism, avoidance, or behavioral disruption. As educators continue to integrate technology into daily instruction, understanding how digital environments impact student anxiety has become more important than ever. This session equips teachers with the knowledge and tools to recognize signs of anxiety in students and respond with both empathy and strategy. Participants will explore the different types of anxiety, how symptoms may manifest in tech-enhanced settings, and how classroom technology can either amplify stress or serve as a tool for emotional regulation and safety. Grounded in trauma-informed and human-centered practices, the session will introduce evidence-based interventions that align with digital workflows. Participants will leave with practical ideas for tech-supported check-ins, flexible learning structures, low-stakes participation tools, and supportive communication routines that reduce anxiety and support academic success.
