Classroom Leaders
You don’t need a high-budget makerspace to bring engaging, hands-on learning to your classroom. This session will show you how to combine everyday, low-tech materials with powerful digital tools to create maker challenges that promote creativity, critical thinking, and student collaboration. Attendees will explore how to blend physical materials—like cardboard, tape, and recyclables—with tech tools like Makey Makey, Tinkercad, Flip, and Google Drawings to create meaningful, cross-curricular learning experiences. Each project is designed to be adaptable, affordable, and easy to launch with students in grades PreK–6. Participants will leave with printable challenge cards, lesson templates, and a toolkit full of low-prep, high-engagement ideas that work in any classroom setting.
