Leading Schools in the Age of AI

January 11, 2026
W340A
District Leaders
In this hands-on, collaborative session, participants uncover their opinions and experience with artificial intelligence’s impact on education through a series of tough questions and fun activities. Attendees will then engage in real-time scenario planning, policy drafting, and strategic decision-making exercises tailored to AI integration. From addressing ethical dilemmas and equity concerns to rethinking staffing, pedagogy, and data use, participants will work to tackle authentic challenges leaders now face. This session will prepare leaders to critically assess emerging tools like AI through the lens of instructional leadership, accountability, and innovation, and will serve as a launching point for their district’s AI integration plan. Existing AI guidance and policy documents from other school districts will be shared, along with AI integration frameworks.  Participants will leave with practical strategies to lead responsibly and proactively in the age of AI in ways that align with your district’s mission and vision.
