Poster 4: Innovative, Results-Driven Strategies to Increase Literacy Learning and Close Gaps!
January 13, 2026
EXPO: CENTER COURT: POSTERS
Classroom Leaders
Innovative literacy strategies offer promise for improving the literacy performance of all K-8 students, and with recently reported literacy assessments, teachers, building leaders, district leaders, and parents, are all eager to see dramatic improvements in students’ performance levels. With wide ranging literacy abilities of students that are often in the same classrooms, teachers are overwhelmed and frustrated, as they try to offer the best instruction for every student. There just aren’t enough hours in the school day for one teacher to differentiate and personalize the instruction that students need, unless newer strategies, tools and technology-rich instructional platforms are available to teachers. When teachers maximize the effects of innovative strategies, used together with technology-rich tools and courseware, much greater increases in reading achievement are possible. Participants will actively engage with innovative strategies and interventional tools, helping them learn effective ways to help each student, including basic literacy skills, content reading skills and visual literacy skills, which students need in order to thrive in school.
