Each day during the conference, come to our open gym for your brain. Experience this dedicated space at FETC designed to help you recharge, reset, and strengthen your ability to handle life’s challenges. Through evidence-based STARR (Stress and Trauma Active Release and Rewiring) exercises, you will learn how to safely regulate your nervous system, rewire emotional responses, and address the cumulative effects of chronic stress and trauma. The Gym for the Brain Room is designed for comfort, conversation, and practice. Educators will also learn how to build their own gym with STARR exercises available in STARR Cards and in the #SameHere Scale app, providing a proactive approach to mental health that can easily be implemented schoolwide, so you can continue building mental health routines long after the conference ends. Leave the Gym for the Brain not only feeling renewed but also equipped with practical tools you can bring back to your community. This is your chance to experience how proactive mental health practices create healthier cultures for both students and educators.
