School Leaders
Today's students crave relevance, direction, and the confidence that school will prepare them for what comes next. Career-connected learning is answering that call. In high-quality programs across the country, students are developing real-world skills, earning industry credentials, and building confidence through meaningful work. This session explores how the core principles of CTE, community partnerships, applied learning, and credentialed pathways, can be embedded in any K–12 system. We'll examine how these strategies align with the new basics: communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and adaptability. Attendees will discuss programs that prepare students for diverse postsecondary options, including college, careers, and entrepreneurship. Whether or not your district operates a career center, this session offers a practical roadmap for creating learning environments where every student can connect school to opportunity, and every graduate leaves with real skills.
