January 12, 2026
EXPO: CENTER COURT: POSTERS
Classroom Leaders
Students are inundated with information, some accurate, much of it not. This session dives into the crucial work of helping students become “digital detectives,” equipped with the skills to evaluate digital content critically and independently. Participants will explore hands-on strategies for teaching students to identify credible sources, recognize misinformation, detect media bias, and question digital narratives. The session will feature age-appropriate tools, lesson examples, and cross-curricular applications designed to build media literacy from elementary through high school. Attendees will leave with strategies that not only address academic standards but also empower students to become discerning consumers and responsible sharers of digital information in both school and life.
