Designing for Variability: AI-Driven Innovation to Personalize Learning

January 13, 2026
W315B
Inclusion Leaders
This session explores how AI tools can support students with disabilities by addressing learner variability through practical, targeted solutions. Participants will begin by identifying key instructional practices that support diverse learning needs. From there, we’ll examine how specific AI tools can reduce barriers related to reading, writing, organization, executive function, and social communication.

The session will feature demonstrations of tools such as Google’s Notebook LM for summarizing and question generation, Brisk AI for drafting IEP goals, MagicSchool for lesson planning, Goblin Tools for task breakdowns, and image generators for creating visual supports. Participants will engage in guided activities to explore how these tools can replace or enhance traditional accommodations, thereby reducing the need for constant educator intervention.

Through small group collaboration and hands-on exploration, attendees will learn how to match AI tools to specific student needs and instructional goals. Emphasis will be placed on crafting effective prompts and adapting outputs to suit individual learners. A shared digital space will support idea exchange and resource sharing. Participants will leave with practical strategies and tools they can immediately apply in their settings.
