Classroom Leaders
How do you teach engineering to a kindergartener? In this interactive session, we’ll share a unique project where third year engineering students step into the role of STEM educators. Each student selects a STEM topic they’re passionate about and designs an age-appropriate lesson for K–8 students. From lesson planning and teacher collaboration to classroom delivery and student feedback, this project challenges future engineers to communicate complex ideas in creative, engaging ways. Learn how this initiative fosters community partnerships, enhances communication skills, and inspires the next generation of STEM learners. Attendees will leave with practical ideas for implementing similar outreach in their own programs.
