Classroom Leaders
Computer science belongs in every classroom, and this session will show you how to make it happen, regardless of your school’s location, resources, or student population. Join educators from two very different school environments, a private school north of NYC and a Title I charter school in the South Bronx, as they share how they’ve made creative coding engaging, accessible, and impactful for their students. You’ll hear real stories from the classroom, learn how coding can be integrated into subjects like art, storytelling, and language, and walk away with ideas for tools, strategies, and activities you can start using right away. Whether your school has a well-established CS program or you’re just getting started, this session will help you design coding experiences that spark creativity, build confidence, and make tech education relevant for all learners. Tools like imagi will be showcased as part of a broader approach to hands-on, student-centered coding that adapts to your unique context. Come for the inspiration and leave with a toolkit for turning creative coding into a reality in your classroom.
