Classroom Leaders
Why stop at just coding or content creation when you can do both—and more? This interactive session explores how to combine STEM tools like drones, robotics, and coding platforms with creative apps to elevate student learning through meaningful, connected experiences. We’ll dive into unique ways to pair digital tools that may seem unrelated at first—like using coding skills from a robotics activity to plan and design a video reflection in Flip, or capturing drone flight data to create infographics in Canva. These kinds of "App Smashes" not only build technical skills, but also promote higher-order thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving across subjects. Throughout the session, we’ll focus on how to break the “one-and-done” mindset when it comes to edtech. You’ll see how using tools in tandem encourages skill transfer, reinforces learning, and empowers students to make creative choices. Whether you're teaching STEM, ELA, or social studies, you'll leave with strategies to make technology integration purposeful, engaging, and flexible—turning standalone activities into dynamic, multi-layered learning experiences.
