Instructional staff and IT departments often work in silos—teachers want tools that enhance learning, while IT focuses on security and infrastructure. These priorities can clash, slowing innovation and frustrating both sides. This session highlights the critical role of the “translator”—the person who bridges these worlds by speaking both instructional and IT languages. Drawing from years of district technology leadership and community building, Natalia LeMoyne will share strategies for reframing IT policies in ways teachers support, translating instructional needs into IT action, and fostering trust between teams. Participants will gain practical tools and scenarios to align instructional goals with IT operations so technology fully supports teaching and learning.
