January 12, 2026
EXPO: IMMERSIVE THEATER: BOOTH #2245
School Leaders
Virtual Reality (VR) is more than a novelty—it’s a powerful instructional tool that can transform classrooms, especially in small and rural districts. This session will explore how K-12 schools can implement VR to expand student access to immersive learning experiences they wouldn’t otherwise have, such as virtual fi eld trips, simulated labs, and historical recreations. Participants will be introduced to a practical framework for integrating VR into teaching and learning, drawn from real-world implementation in public schools. We’ll share actionable strategies for enhancing student engagement, promoting active learning, and ensuring inclusivity across diverse learning styles. Educators will also learn how to identify and curate meaningful VR content, prepare for tech setup, and build buy-in with school staff. This session combines presentation with hands-on exploration and peer discussion, equipping attendees with a personalized VR integration roadmap and confidence to bring immersive learning to life in their classrooms.
