Step into the FETC Digital Wellness Room for an intimate session that will spark your imagination. As a media specialist and a school counselor team, we'll show you how a simple picture book can become a powerful tool to ignite a love of reading and build emotional literacy in your school. We'll introduce you to our innovative program that uses voice-activated soundscapes from the Novel Effect app to bring stories to life. While we don't use it for every book, we often turn to Novel Effect to create a deeply emotional experience. The soundscapes and music enhance the mood and feelings of the story, helping students forge a more powerful connection with the narrative and its characters. Come see how we use tools like Novel Effect to supercharge the reading experience, blending them with meaningful conversations and digital platforms to amplify student work and transform school culture. We'll share our framework for selecting books, our strategies for engaging students and teachers, and our methods for showcasing student creativity. Leave this session with the inspiration and a clear path to start your own journey "Beyond the Page."
