Participants will use tools like SchoolAI, Flint and MagicSchool to design equitable, rigorous, and personalized assessments that foster student metacognition, engagement, and feedback, Designed for school leaders, academic deans, instructional coaches, and teacher-leaders, the session blends the principles of Universal Design for Learning, authentic assessment, and AI literacy to guide participants through the redesign of a current unit or assessment. Participants will: - Identify their instructional ''why'' and revise units with AI-supported learning goals. - Practice writing AI prompts that elicit rigorous, reflective, and inclusive outputs. - Use AI to differentiate instruction and build metacognitive skills with tools like MagicSchool AI, Copilot, SchoolAI, and ChatGPT. - Evaluate the human-to-AI ratio in classroom activities. - Embed equity checks and bias detection into assessment design. - Design rubrics and feedback loops that promote student voice and process-based learning.
