Classroom Leaders
What happens when you break down the barriers between computer science and art? You invite more students into both worlds. In this session, learn how an elementary STEM and art program partnered to create interdisciplinary projects that foster creative thinking, computational skills, and a broader, more inclusive vision of who belongs in computer science. We’ll showcase real examples — from coding animations to designing robot art to using AI to teach surrealism — and share how blending computer science and art opened doors for a wider range of learners, bringing “art kids” into coding and “tech kids” into creative expression. When art meets code, every learner can find their spark!
