The Alphas, AI, and the Metaverse: Game On!

The Alpha Generation are children born from the year 2010 through 2025. They are the children of tech savvy Generation Y and for the most part, the younger siblings of Generation Z. Their beginnings in 2010 coincided with the launch of the first iPad and Instagram. The Alphas are a generation of children who are hyperconnected and profoundly entrenched in new technologies, social networks and content consumption through gaming. They have been raised on responsive technology involving platforms such as TikTok, Minecraft, and Roblox. The platforms are a favorite of Alphas because they encourage creativity and participation. From a formal education perspective, Alphas may be the most demanding, impatient and skeptical group of students to ever grace our classrooms. Through the use of gaming principles, AI, and the Metaverse, Alphas will attain educational success in their learning environment. Game On!
