Using Robotics to Enhance the Elementary Curriculum (PK-5)
January 15, 2025
EXPO HALL LEADERSHIP ROUND TABLES: BOOTH 3386
Classroom Leaders
Robotics does not only need to be taught in a Computer Science/STEM classroom. As elementary teachers we will share our experience using robotics (VEX 123 and VEX GO) across all areas of the elementary curriculum: English Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies. We will present a variety of ways that teachers can use robots daily to enhance their everyday curriculum. A sample daily Scope and Sequence will be discussed with examples of ways to complete journaling/engineering notebook entries to encourage problem solving and use of iterations to find a solution, as well as incorporate writing while teaching STEM.
