Journey down the rabbit hole and explore the world of AI literacy through the lens of the iconic science fiction film, "The Matrix."In this interactive session, we will examine how the five pillars of AI literacy (perception, representation and reasoning, learning, natural interaction, and societal impact), as outlined by the AI4K12 Initiative, are woven into the film's narrative. Through thought-provoking discussions and examples, we'll draw parallels between the movie's themes and our current world. We will examine questions like: How does the "red pill"concept relate to critically evaluating information in the age of AI? How does the Matrix's "simulation"mirror the challenges of distinguishing between reality and AI-generated content? How can educators navigate the ethical considerations surrounding AI? By the end of this session, you'll gain insights into the challenges and opportunities surrounding AI and leave with a foundational framework for teaching AI literacy.
