A Summer Engineering Camp for Underserved Students: Highlights of Building an Electric Car.

January 15, 2025
SOUTH 330D
District Leaders
Underserved students in a small, rural school district in Florida are provided a once in a lifetime opportunity to learn the basics of engineering and actually build an electric car from start to finish. A private donor provided the means for students to break the cycle of poverty and to learn 21st Century engineering skills. Two electric car kits were purchased and will be driven after the camp has been completed.
