Anchoring phenomena spark students’ curiosity and drive inquiry-based learning. By leveraging technology to present and investigate these phenomena, educators can create engaging, student-centered learning environments that foster deep understanding and retention of scientific concepts. This session aims to increase student engagement in middle and high school science classrooms by merging the power of technology with the research based technique of anchoring phenomena based on the NGSS. Attendees will be equipped to inspire their students and create a classroom environment where curiosity leads to meaningful scientific discovery and learning.
